Manifattura Automobili Torino

Founded in 2014, Manifattura Automobili Torino is a boutique car manufacturer able to conceive, design, develop, engineer and manufacture automotive special projects. Based in Turin, Italy —the cradle of automotive innovation— it creates hypercars, one-offs, racing machines, and luxury vehicles. For instance M.A.T. developed and produced the fastest accelerating hypercar BEV, commissioned by the Japanese company Aspark.

Thanks to a fast-deployable and flexible development process, M.A.T. has a proven track record in participating both as project partner and as external supplier. Its effective and agile organisation, and its competences make M.A.T. the ideal partner for any automotive R&D project, from motorsport to full EV vehicles development.

M.A.T. is currently involved in three Horizon Europe projects (https://s4mile.eu/project/; https://ibattman.eu/ and https://www.enlighten-project.eu/ ). It is most involved in User Requirements Definition, Software dev, coding, controlling and calibration, system integration and demonstrators/running prototypes design and manufacturing. It also participates in regional and national funding schemes with other focuses such as the prototyping of a smart, safe and sustainable car seat and V2V and V2X solutions based on the use of connected On Board Units, thus integrating 5G technology, edge computing, and advanced ADAS systems in a light quadricycle designed for autonomous driving and an innovative electric scooter.

In its workshop it has a roller test bench to simulate driving cycles with a complete vehicle, a HV Battery tester and charger, an automatic station to weld conductor wire on cells to assemble HV battery modules, a torque tightening machine and much more.
