About

L'Urederra is a technological centre that carries out research and applied technological development activities in the fields of nanotechnology, new materials and advanced environment at the service of companies and economical agents at both national and international level. The centre has a large trajectory in international cooperation. The centre is involved in European projects since FP4 and has coordinated 22 of the total of 52 European projects including FP programs, H2020, Horizon Europe, ECO-Innovation and LIFE. The expertise of L'Urederra is mainly focused in the development and production of advanced nanoparticles as well as in the development of functional coatings for many different applications, including environmental applications. L'Urederra works also in recycling and valorisation of wastes, including mechanical and chemical extraction of CRMs and bioactive compounds from organic waste at lab and pilot scale. According to the exploitation of the technologies and new products developed by L'Urederra, the centre works closely with the industry. The Centre created a company, TECNAN in December 2007 that currently is independently working in the production and commercialisation of nanoparticles, dispersion and ready to use nanoproducts (www.tecnan-nanomat.es)..) This company, makes also possible the industrialisation of the results of L'Urederra in the fields of nanomaterials and coatings.
