Citizen science & stakeholder engagement partner

Science For Change (SFC) offers expertise in social sciences, citizen science, science communication and participatory methodologies to support Horizon Europe and EU-funded research and innovation projects.

We typically contribute to projects by strengthening their social, participatory, and societal dimensions, working closely with technical and thematic partners to ensure research is inclusive, ethical, and connected to real-world contexts.

Our expertise includes:

• Design and implementation of citizen science and participatory research activities

• Stakeholder mapping, engagement strategies, and co-creation processes

• Social sciences support to R&I projects, including ethics, inclusion, reflexivity, and RRI approaches

• Science communication, dissemination, and exploitation grounded in stakeholder needs

• Capacity building and training, including frameworks, toolkits, guidelines, and professional learning programmes

Within consortia, SFC is usually involved in social science–led work packages (e.g. engagement, co-design, ethics, evaluation, communication), collaborating with cities, communities, public authorities, research organisations, SMEs, and civil society actors.

We are interested in joining Horizon Europe projects looking for a partner to lead or support citizen engagement, participatory research, and societal impact–oriented work packages, across a wide range of thematic domains.
