Research partner/WP lead, contributing data-driven decision support for transport and logistics through simulation and optimisation methods

Post doctoral researcher at Vrije Universiteit Brussel

Brussel, Belgium

About

I am a postdoctoral researcher at Mobilise, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), working on quantitative and data-driven decision support for transport and logistics systems. Mobilise research group has extensive experience in logistics, mobility, transport systems, and policy-relevant decision support. The group has a strong track record in applied modeling, simulation, and collaboration with public and industrial stakeholders.

Within this context, my research focuses on simulation-based modelling and optimisation, applied to complex real-world problems such as synchromodal transport networks, Physical Internet concepts, and collaborative logistics systems. My work aims to translate advanced analytics into actionable insights for operators, infrastructure managers, and policymakers, supporting climate-neutral, resilient, and efficient mobility.

Within Horizon Europe Cluster 5 projects, I am interested in contributing as a research partner or Work Package lead, particularly on system modelling, digital twins, optimisation, pilot evaluation, and impact assessment, in close collaboration with industry and public stakeholders.
