About

The intended project aims to develop an integrated intelligent control framework that enhances the performance, efficiency, and safety of next-generation electrified and connected vehicles. The research combines deep-learning-based powertrain and vehicle dynamics control with advanced battery management system (BMS) algorithms to enable predictive, adaptive, and energy-optimal operation under diverse driving and grid-interaction conditions. By incorporating V2X communication, cooperative manoeuvring, the project provides a scalable control architecture that supports zero-emission mobility, maximises battery lifetime, and improves overall transport system resilience. The outcomes directly contribute to the objectives of Destination 5 (zero-emission road transport) and Destination 6 (smart, safe, and connected mobility), supporting Europe’s transition toward climate-neutral, intelligent, and competitive mobility solutions.
