FLEXLOOP. Circular mono material PP flexible packaging for food contact applications
CTO / Founder of CTTI at Centrum Transferu Technologii – INNOVATIONS Sp. z o.o.

About
FLEXLOOP will turn multilayer flexible food packaging from a waste problem into a controlled circular loop centred on Industrial polypropylene assets. The project will design and validate mono material PP based flexible packaging for key food applications, compatible with existing packing lines and a single PP recycling stream.
An integrated industrial line will sort, delaminate, decontaminate and regranulate post consumer multilayer food films into food contact compliant PP recyclate, operated at meaningful scale at or near a Industrial site. A digital traceability layer and product data system will track material from resin design through packaging use to recycling, boosting sorting performance and providing real operational data for process control and investment decisions.
Robust life cycle and cost assessments will prove greenhouse gas and waste reductions versus today’s multilayer formats and will define replication blueprints for other Industry and partner sites. The result is a feasible circular business model that moves Industry from commodity polymer supplier to strategic circular packaging partner.
