About

We contributed to the Horizon 2020 procuRE project (2020-2024), involving six public procurers from across Europe managing over 21,000 buildings, with a total budget of approximately €10.9 million to develop innovative solutions for 100% renewable energy supply in existing public buildings. Currently, we are engaged in ongoing initiatives supporting energy efficiency and renewable integration in the Porto region, building on our expertise in energy auditing and sustainable systems under Portuguese regulations like DL 68A/2015.

In recent years, we have completed key Horizon 2020 efforts aligned with energy themes, including advancements in renewable energy procurement (procuRE) and related pilots for building decarbonization. We have secured funding in multiple Horizon Europe projects emphasizing clean energy technologies, such as those targeting energy efficiency in public infrastructure, high-efficiency heating systems, and renewable integration in urban settings—leveraging our role in regional case studies for sustainable development.

Additionally, we have been awarded in cascade funding mechanisms for energy innovation and this year participated in a Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETPart) initiative on renewable energy deployment, alongside a Horizon Europe project exploring sustainable energy fuels and efficiency. Energaia seeks to partner in future proposals where our services in energy engineering, auditing, and project coordination can add value, particularly in developing Coordination, Dissemination, and Exploitation (C&D&E) tasks to ensure impactful outcomes in the energy transition.
