plateforme-canoe.com/Pessac, FranceCANOE is a French, non-profit Research and Transfer Organization. We are a proactive team of 48 people, mainly technicians, engineers, PhDs. Our mission is to develop innovative materials and processes enabling progress in EU strategic research areas, and SSbD strategies, while managing costs and performances. We support our partners across Europe through lab- and pilot line capabilities (from TRL2 to TRL7), scaling-up new materials and processes to meet often-stringent performance and safety specifications. CANOE mainly addresses the following application sectors: defence, transport (automotive, aerospace, marine industry…), renewable energy (batteries, H2 tanks, wind blades, etc.), health, and sustainable building. CANOE has specific expertise in:
Innovative fibres wet-spinning, especially from renewable resources ;
Carbonization process for new (biobased) carbon fibres ;
Thermoplastic (TP) polymers processing;
Composite manufacturing processes (infusion, RTM, filament winding, tapes, AFP);
New recycling processes for textiles, polymers, and composites;
Characterizations and materials testing.
