It is known that the cost of electricity changes during the day. In each country, this change depends on the adopted legislative decisions and climatic conditions. Currently, the amount of energy produced by the main renewable sources (sun, wind) reaches half of the total produced. At the same time, situations arise when the cost of electricity on the market approaches zero (for 400-1100 hours per year).

In this regard, the need arises to store electrical energy. Now, for this purpose, electric batteries are mostly used, which are expensive, have a short energy storage time, and their disposal (after use) is difficult and harmful to the environment.

At the same time, a lot of energy is spent on cooling in the world - in technological processes and for storing various goods. In most cases, a temperature of +3-10 degrees Celsius is sufficient for this. This temperature can be provided by ice, which can be produced (using cheap energy on the market) in freezers using crystallizers developed by us. Crystallizers allow the production of fine ice, which is easy to accumulate and transport to consumers.

The cost of storage is $0.1-0.15/kWh of electricity, excluding the costs of control and energy management systems, which are individual in each case depending on the conditions of cold consumers.  Tests were conducted in operating conditions (TRL5) of the COOL ENERGY crystallizer, there are publications in Ukraine and the USA, patents of Ukraine.

Based on our research and calculations, energy-efficient projects were developed for various sectors of the economy. We are looking for specialized partners for joint participation in grant projects.
