Complex for long-term storage of excess solar/wind electrical energy
About
The operation of the complex is based on the use of the COOL ENERGY installation, which serves for the production, transportation and long-term storage of crushed ice, which is subsequently used in cooling and air conditioning systems, which currently consume up to 30% of all electrical energy generated in the world. Crushed ice is produced using this plant and/or known refrigeration plants powered by excess solar/wind electrical energy. The complex (compared to existing solutions in the form of electric batteries) provides an unlimited number of charge-discharge cycles, durability and safety of use at a low cost ($0.05/kWh) and comparable stored energy density (90 W x hour/kg).
