Lviv Polytechnic is the largest university in Ukraine by number of students. In 2024, it had 33,702 students, including 29,698 full-time students and 4,004 part-time students. In 2024, Lviv Polytechnic was the leader among Ukrainian universities in terms of the number of applications for both bachelor's and master's degrees. The university also ranks first in terms of the number of contract students and second in terms of state-funded enrolments. It is among the top three in terms of the number of state grants for education. In 2024, Lviv Polytechnic received the largest amount of funding for fundamental and applied research, as well as scientific and technical development among all Ukrainian universities. The university is a leader among Ukrainian higher education institutions in terms of funding for international projects. Lviv Polytechnic is also a leader among Ukrainian higher education institutions in terms of publication activity in international journals with high impact indices (quartiles Q1-Q2) and remains the No. 1 university among Ukrainian universities in reputable international rankings. The activities of Lviv Polytechnic National University are in line with the mission, vision and values set out in the Strategic Development Plan of Lviv Polytechnic until 2025.
