Bridging the Action Gap in SIDS: Envisioning a Renewable Energy Future
This session explores how Small Island Developing States (SIDS) can move from conversation to action on the energy transition by rapidly envisioning and outlining a 100% renewable energy future for their islands. Through the “60-Minute Roadmap” workshop at the Global Sustainable Island Summit, participants will draft a concise one-page strategic roadmap that identifies initial steps toward implementation. Supported by partners including Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, RMI, Caribbean Electric Utility Services Corporation, Kneyzus Energy and Peace Boat US the session aims to spark practical thinking about what a renewable energy future could look like for island communities and how to begin the journey toward it.
