Our goal is to provide therapy for diseases that are currently difficult or impossible to treat. For that purpose, SmartDyeLivery has been working on a platform technology based on functionalised nanocarriers. Our tailor-made nanocarriers show great potential for the treatment and diagnosis of diseases. Through nano-encapsulation and functionalisation of the particle surface, the active ingredient is quickly delivered to the intended site of action, such as diseased organs or tumors. There, the active ingredient is released and can selectively attack the affected cells, while the rest of the body is spared – thus, reducing dangerous side effects for the patient. The variable functionalisation of the nanocarriers makes them suitable for a wide range of applications, e.g. in the field of therapy and diagnostics.
