Research Institution/University

Zürich, Switzerland

Humaniche is an ETH Zürich spin-off in formation, developing a family of off-the-shelf and disease-specific human bone marrow niche proxy kits and in vitro systems that provide structured insights into efficacy and hematopoietic toxicity at the stage immediately prior to first-in-human trials, where development risk and capital exposure are highest. Until now, it has raised CHF 588K in non-dilutive funding. By introducing functional human bone marrow biology into late preclinical decision-making, Humaniche reduces costly late-stage clinical failures and supports the pharmaceutical industry’s transition toward validated New Approach Methodologies (NAMs). By developing human-relevant, scalable, and reproducible bone marrow disease model tools, Humanishe aims to enable safer, more effective advanced therapies to efficiently reach blood cancer patients.

About me

I am a data scientist, specializing in machine learning for biomedical image analysis. I lead data science projects for academic and industry partners and contribute original research on image generation and microscopy image processing. My objective is to deliver high-impact solutions for cutting-edge applications.

My expertise focuses on image modeling and analysis, scientific imaging, and mathematical data modeling. I have experience working with a broad range of biological data types, including sequencing, proteomics, scientific imaging data, molecular simulations, and more.

I work at ScopeM, an imaging platform of ETH Zürich (scopem.ethz.ch), where I co-lead the image and data analysis team (www.let-your-data-speak.com). I also collaborate with www.histopixel.com (AI-based medical image processing). Previously, I worked in top research institutions in Switzerland (Biozentrum Basel) and Europe (MPI Mainz, Freiburg University, University of Groningen) .
