Karina Salgueiro

I am a final-year medical student at the University of Basel with clinical experience across internal medicine, neurology, and emergency care. During my training, I became increasingly interested in how structural challenges in healthcare systems influence clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.

This has led me to explore topics at the intersection of medicine, innovation, and strategy, particularly in areas such as digital health and AI. I am motivated by the question of how new technologies and organizational approaches can be translated into meaningful, real-world improvements in healthcare.

Long term, I am interested in contributing to the development and scaling of impactful healthcare solutions, potentially within industry or entrepreneurial settings. I am particularly interested in connecting with people working at this interface and learning from their experiences.
