My organisation

Farmoquímica del Pacífico (FQP) is Chile's oldest pharmaceutical laboratory, founded in 1834, and one of the five longest-standing in Latin America. With over 190 years of uninterrupted presence in healthcare, FQP develops and commercializes differentiated health solutions across pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and nutritional supplements — covering therapeutic areas including General Medicine, Psychiatry, Traumatology, Pediatrics, and Gynecology. FQP operates across both retail and non-retail channels. In the retail segment, it reaches patients through private pharmacies and e-commerce platforms. In the institutional and non-retail segment, it supplies directly to clinics, hospitals, and CENABAST — Chile's national public procurement agency — positioning FQP as a strategic partner at every level of the healthcare system. Internationally, FQP has expanded into the Peruvian market and is actively building its regional footprint, leveraging deep knowledge of Latin American regulatory frameworks, public procurement dynamics, and market access strategies to support the commercialization of health innovations across the region. For biotech partners, FQP brings a distinctive value proposition: the ability to navigate complex regulatory pathways, translate scientific innovation into market-ready products, and communicate differentiated clinical and commercial value to healthcare professionals, institutions, and patients. This expertise spans the full product lifecycle — from Health Authorties registration and regulatory strategy in Chile and Peru to portfolio positioning, institutional access, and patient engagement. FQP structures its biotech collaboration model around Technology Readiness Levels (TRL), offering sponsorship at early stages (TRL 1–5) and co-investment at advanced development stages (TRL 6–9).

About me

Civil Industrial Engineer with a Master's in Operations Management from Universidad de Chile, with over two decades of experience at the intersection of pharmaceutical manufacturing, regulatory and market strategy.

President of Farmoquímica del Pacífico (FQP), Chile's oldest pharmaceutical laboratory with over 190 years of history and one of the five longest-standing in Latin America. In this role, I lead FQP's strategic positioning and an open collaboration model structured around technology readiness levels (TRL)

President of Chile's Cámara Nacional de Laboratorios, the national pharmaceutical industry association, where I advocate for productive sovereignty in health, the development of a national pharmaceutical and biotech industry, and the use of public procurement as a lever for industrial policy.

Within the SOFOFA Hub — Chile's leading private-sector innovation ecosystem — I sit on the board of the CBT (Centro de Biotecnología Traslacional), working at the interface of industry, academia, and public policy to accelerate translational biotechnology development in Chile.

Across these roles, I am actively engaged in building Chile's biotechnology ecosystem and expanding collaborative bridges with international research and innovation partners.
