The Bulgarian Industrial Association - Union of the Bulgarian Business (BIA) is a non-governmental organization, established on April 25th, 1980. The Bulgarian Industrial Organization is among the biggest national business representative associations in Bulgaria supporting SMEs to access international markets for over 45 years. Its membership covers 120+ sector organizations and academic institutions, and more than 22000 SMEs. The only Bulgarian member of the largest European business representative organization BUSINESSEUROPE (BE),During its 45 years of history, BIA has proved itself as one of the leading partners of the state in defining the economic policy while maintaining its governmental and political impartiality. The Bulgarian Industrial Association is guided solely by the virtues of national responsibility, competence, and integrity. BIA was recognized as a representative organization of employers on a national level.One of its main support services is providing training on European Innovation Council, as a National Contact Point for EIC.BIA incorporates a CISCO Digital Competences Centre and an accredited VET (Vocational Education and Training) Centre. BIA’s experts take part in more than 150 national and regional committees, working groups, thematic groups.It is an active partner and co-ordinating organisation of the Bulgarian consortium in the largest SME support network in the world - Enterprise Europe Network with participation in the Digital and Electronics, Energy Intensive Industries Sector Groups and a selected member of the Resilience Task Force of the Network. As Bulgaria’s representative in BUSINESSEUROPE and the OECD, and a partner of the EDIH and the EEN networks, BIA contributes strategic insight, strong EU-level linkages, and practical expertise to advance the call’s priorities.
