My organisation
Kissei is a R&D oriented Japanese pharmaceutical company. We have clinical and pre-clinical stage assets seeking for a partner outside Japan in the therapeutic fields of urology, neurology, and women’s health. We are seeking for clinical stage in-licensing opportunities for Japan/Asian countries, especially in the therapeutic fields of urology, nephrology, obstetrics/gynecology, gastroenterology, and orphan/intractable diseases. For in-licensing, all modalities are considered, but our drug discovery research activities are focused on small molecules, and we are primarily seeking seeds and technologies related to small molecule drug discovery. We are exploring all potential alliance opportunities to accelerate our innovation in small molecule drug discovery research across a broad range of therapeutic areas.
About me
I joined Kissei Pharmaceutical co., ltd. in 1997, and I have over 20 years of experience in small molecule drug discovery research as a medicinal chemist or a manager. One of my significant achievements is the development of the uterine fibroid drug Yselty®, which was launched in Europe in 2024. Since 2021, as the Director of Drug Discovery Strategy, I have been responsible for drug discovery research planning and partnering, always seeking groundbreaking technologies to create game-changing medicines. In 2025, Kissei opened a new office in Boston to accelerate open innovation in drug discovery research, and I started working there to promote networking.
