Baki Ünal

I serve as the official contact person within the scope of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) for "İskenderun Teknik Üniversitesi Endüstri Mühendisliği Bölümü" (Department of Industrial Engineering at İskenderun Technical University (https://iste.edu.tr/en/endm)) which is the only department at İskenderun Technical University that has been accepted into the EEN. I am also serving as Assistant Professor in the department. As the Department of Industrial Engineering, we carry out joint R&D projects with SMEs and large companies in the region and provide consultancy services in areas such as circular value creation, sustainability, life cycle assessment, and AI-supported manufacturing and product development. My expertise includes applied AI, complex systems modeling, and data-driven methods for sustainable production, circular value creation and innovation-driven value creation. I provide consulting, modeling, data analysis and system development services in these areas. We have recently initiated an AI-based product development R&D project with ASAŞ Filtre (https://asasfilter.com.tr/) which is a large filter manufacturing company in the region. In the Global Innovation Summit, I am looking to explore potential collaboration opportunities and find suitable partners for joint R&D projects, particularly in innovation-driven value creation, eligible for future Eurostars, EUREKA, and Circular Value Creation calls.
