Luca Cruciato

Luca Cruciato serves as Senior Advisor for Innovation at SwissCore, the Swiss liaison office in Brussels for Education, Research, and Innovation (ERI). As part of his mandate, Luca acts as a bridge between Swiss and European innovation stakeholders, policies and programmes. His mission involves providing high-quality information to Swiss ERI institutions about recent developments in innovation policies and programmes, supporting Swiss stakeholders in participating in the EU framework programme for Research and Innovation (Horizon Europe) or connecting them with European policymakers. Promoting Swiss innovation at the European level, and representing Swiss innovation stakeholders in official bodies, meetings and events are other essential aspects of the mandate.

Before joining SwissCore in Brussels, Luca served as a Scientific Coordinator at Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency based in Bern, where he advised clients seeking R&D funding and managed their innovative projects. Previously, Luca worked as a Client Advisor for Corporate Clients (SMEs) at UBS, advising on the setup of companies, cash management consultancy, foreign exchange, digital banking, and credit application analysis, among other services.

Luca holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland (HE-Arc Neuchâtel), with a specialisation in finance. He more recently graduated from the Geneva Graduate Institute with an Executive Certificate in Advocacy and International Public Affairs.
