About me

Dr. Heiko Ott started his industry career in early-stage company formation and venture funding for biopharma, diagnostic, and medical technology start-ups, encompassing the conduct of due diligence processes, product in- and out-licensing, and board-level participation, resulting in multiple initial public offerings and a PIPE transaction (private investment in public equity). In 2013, Heiko joined Zukunftsfonds Heilbronn as Director of Business Development to prepare go-to-market strategies, conduct regulatory product approvals for the US market, negotiate distribution and transaction agreements, and execute buy-and-build strategies in close collaboration with executive management, resulting in successful trade sale exits via M&A. As an entrepreneur, Heiko acts as a business and corporate development advisor to upcoming start-ups in the Munich life science network.

Dr. Heiko Ott studied Biology and Information Science at the University of Konstanz, with special courses in biochemistry, biophysics, biomathematics, and 3D visualization. In 2001, he received his PhD in developmental neurobiology for his work on in vivo antibody-based functional analysis of cell surface molecules during axonal pathfinding and regeneration.
