About

ScopeM – the Scientific Center for Optical and Electron Microscopy at ETH Zurich – provides access to advanced microscopy technologies and expert support for academic and industrial R&D projects.

We support partners in the planning, acquisition, processing and quantitative analysis of microscopy data, including light microscopy, fluorescence microscopy, electron microscopy, correlative imaging and advanced image analysis workflows.

Our expertise is particularly relevant for companies and research groups working with biological samples, materials, medical technologies, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, diagnostics or any application where high-quality imaging and reliable quantitative interpretation are critical.

Through ScopeM and the image/data analysis expertise associated with ScopeM IDA, we can support projects such as:

- microscopy-based experimental design and feasibility studies

- fluorescence, confocal, live-cell, high-content and electron microscopy imaging

- sample imaging strategy and workflow optimization

- image processing, segmentation and object detection

- quantitative analysis of cells, tissues, organoids, particles or microstructures

- AI-assisted and deep-learning-based image analysis

- 2D, 3D and time-lapse microscopy data analysis

- benchmarking and validation of image analysis pipelines

- support in translating microscopy data into robust biological or technical conclusions

We are interested in connecting with companies that need microscopy access, expert imaging support, image analysis, AI-based quantification or collaborative R&D around microscopy data.

Potential collaboration formats include service projects, feasibility studies, method development, data analysis support, joint R&D projects and longer-term partnerships.
