Development of a biodegradable stent like scaffold

Holger Müller

CEO & Co-Founder at ProVascTec

Cork, Ireland

About

Stents are typically delivered through minimal invasive percutaneous procedures via a catheter. ProVascTec has developed a combination product from a biodegradable membrane and a payload of mesenchymal stem cells. This novel therapeutic is intended to treat poor-option critical limb ischemia patients with an occlusion below the knee. So accelerate the adoption of ProVascTec technology in daily medical practice, ProVascTec intends to mount the combination on a stent to enable delivery with well established catheter delivery procedures. ProVascTec is now searching for a collaborator, who is interested to develop a stent-type biodegradable scaffold then fits below the knee arties.
