About me
Hooman Tahmasebipour holds a Master of Applied Science (MASc) in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Toronto leveraging an industry affiliation to the Space Flight Laboratory. In this role, Hooman was the key contributor to development and system integration of a novel Onboard Computer designed for small satellites in Low Earth Orbit in addition to an automated large constellation management software tool implementing formation flying algorithms. Prior to this, Hooman obtained his Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Toronto in Computer Engineering, specializing in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.
Hooman has held several industry positions, including as a Software Engineer at Magnestar, Machine Learning engineer at Electronic Arts, and ASIC Design Engineer at AMD Inc. Hooman has architected, designed, implemented, and tested systems in the realm of Artificial Intelligence, ASIC Design, Embedded Systems, and Control Systems across multiple sectors.
Hooman is currently the Lead Avionics & Software Engineer at NordSpace. In this role his primary responsibility is to architect, design, implementat, test, and integrate all flight and ground avionics into NordSpace's launch vehicles. Given his background in Space Systems and Artificial Intelligence, he is also one of the key players leading the inception of NordSpace's Space Systems division. Hooman and team are constantly on the lookout for industry partners across the board to further business development initiatives and push the boundaries of technology across all sectors.
