Eliza Panagiotidou

As an industrial ecologist with a business background, I combine an understanding of technical systems with environmental and business insight. I started my career in the wire steel industry and moved to the offshore sector while completing me masters degree. Over the last decade I have specialized in driving sustainable development and circular transition across sectors. I help companies optimize resource use and create commercial value by embedding circularity into their operations.

To this end I founded Urban Camel, a boutique strategy and innovation agency that specializing in sustainable development and the circular economy. Urban Camel operates at the intersection of regulation, industry and system transition. It assists organizations to turn regulatory requirements and market presssure from clients, investors and other stakeholders to business opportunities and sustainable business value.

I am a registered advisor for small businesses at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and an independent proposal evaluator for EIT Manufacturing and the European Commission. I am also a member of the Sustainability and ESG Committee of the Hellenic-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In 2024, I was honored with the Ecosystem Hero of the Year title at the South Europe Startup Awards. Urban Camel received the Green StartUp award at the 2023 Green Brand Awards, as well as the Sustainability Research & Innovation Agency award at the 2025 Corporate LiveWire Innovation & Excellence Awards.
