Détails
We are the University of British Columbia’s (UBC) Academy of Translational Medicine, leading Canada’s only regulatory science platform.
Our platform supports end-to-end translation across the product life cycle. We integrate regulatory science with health economics, health technology assessment (HTA), reimbursement, equity, commercialization, and implementation.
Our capabilities include:
-
Life-cycle regulatory science and regulatory affairs strategy
-
Real-world evidence and causal inference
-
Clinical trial design
-
Health economics, HTA, reimbursement, and market access
-
Equity and distributional analysis
-
Responsible AI and computer science
-
Commercialization and financial modelling
-
Learning healthcare systems and implementation
We also bring a population-level health-system data and evidence-generation platform. Working within British Columbia’s publicly funded healthcare system, we have curated linked clinical, genomic, outcomes, and administrative data. Our precision oncology environment includes:
-
More than 350,000 patients
-
More than 30,000 genetic and genomic tests
-
Approximately 3.1 million years of patient follow-up
Equity is integrated across the platform. We examine who benefits, how access and outcomes vary across populations, and how regulatory, economic, and implementation decisions can support more equitable access to innovation.
We see particularly strong opportunities across two Horizon Europe areas:
-
Precision & Personalized Health: precision oncology, rare disease diagnosis, biomarkers, genomics, comprehensive cancer infrastructures, and equitable access.
-
Digital Health Technologies, AI & Data Driven Healthcare: AI-enabled evidence generation, natural language processing, federated and privacy-preserving analytics, synthetic data, clinical decision support, real-world validation, and implementation within learning healthcare systems.
Beyond these areas, we can support consortia needing life-cycle regulatory science, economics, HTA, equity, or implementation expertise.
