Auree

Auree Oy, founded in May 2025, is a technology startup with the mission to disrupt the Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) market. We plan to offer free, high-availability cloud database services for MySQL and PostgreSQL across all major cloud platforms.

A core component of this strategy is the Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) model, which allows customers to run managed databases within their own cloud accounts. This approach gives users more control over data, compliance, and costs, while also minimizing Auree’s infrastructure and support expenses.

Auree is designed to address the rigidity, expense, and vendor lock-in associated with traditional DBaaS offerings by combining easy deployment with intelligent automation.

The premium features focus on AI-assisted database administration and management (AI-Assisted DBA), including tools for performance optimization, auto-healing, and advanced monitoring. This intelligent automation is intended to reduce operational costs, minimize downtime, and provide expert-level database management to small and mid-sized teams that may lack dedicated database administrators.

The team is composed of senior specialists, including creators of Continuent Tungsten Cluster, positioning Auree to develop a new infrastructure standard built in Finland for global markets
