About
This project is a community cyber awareness program for municipalities, schools, libraries, and local community groups that want simple, engaging cyber awareness activities for their residents and staff.
It helps people stay safer online in simple, practical ways—when they use phones, social media, school platforms, online forms, or shared computers at home or in public spaces.
The project combines easy-to-use digital simulations with hybrid events. In the simulations, participants can explore situations like a suspicious message, a fake profile, or an app asking for too much data, and see what good and bad choices look like. Everything is explained in clear, non-technical language, so people with different levels of digital skills can follow along.
Hybrid events (on site and online) bring communities together for workshops, talks, and hands-on activities. These can be run with schools, youth centers, senior groups, or city services, and are designed to encourage questions, conversation, and shared stories about online experiences. At the end of the project, the municipality or school network receives a brief summary of participation, key topics, and ideas for continuing the program across more neighborhoods or institutions.
