AI-native back office for Europe's construction trades — Opening first angel round (SAFE)

About

Spun is the AI-native back office for Europe's construction professionals — starting with Spain's 2M+ self-employed tradespeople.

Why construction
Construction is one of Europe's largest and least digitised industries, where millions of professionals still run their businesses on paper, WhatsApp and external accountants. They have never had a back office of their own.

The forcing function
The EU's e-invoicing wave is bringing these businesses into digital compliance for the first time. Spain's Verifactu mandate hits companies in January 2027 and the self-employed in July 2027. Poland's KSeF is already live. Portugal, France and Germany follow through 2030. No incumbent combines compliance, operations and AI for Europe's construction micro-businesses.

Compliance gets them in. Operations keeps them. AI replaces the work they never wanted to do.

What we've built
A production-ready, vertically integrated operating platform: quoting, Verifactu-compliant invoicing, project tracking, client management and AI-powered voice-to-quote. Live with paying users and real invoices issued. Built and run by a 3-person team using AI as executor. Spun is proof that AI can compress software development cost and time by an order of magnitude.

The thesis
Not a two-year regulatory play. Regulation is the entry wedge; the real thesis is the progressive digitisation of a fragmented back office today split across a gestoría, Excel, WhatsApp and isolated suppliers. Spun absorbs those layers one by one.

The moat is not the code. It's the combination of regulatory expertise, real construction workflows, voice-native UX, proprietary operational data (real prices per work item, per region) and distribution. None of which AI hands a competitor for free.

The round
SAFE · cap €1.8M–€2.2M · 20% discount · target €300K–€500K. Use of funds: ~50% distribution & growth, ~15% regulatory expansion (Poland, Portugal, France), ~10% product & AI, ~25% ops & reserve. The bottleneck is not engineering — it's repeatable distribution. That is exactly what this round funds.

Comparable
Plancraft (Hamburg) raised €38M Series B in August 2025 (Headline, Creandum, HTGF), sharing the long-term vision of becoming the operating system for construction professionals — owning Germany and the North. Spun is taking the corridor they don't: Iberia + Central & Eastern Europe.

Team
Alberto García (CEO) · Alexander Trijzelaar, architect + ex site manager (Co-founder) · Miltan Chaudhury (CTO).

Ideal investor
Angel or early-stage fund · ticket €25K–€150K · background in PropTech, ConTech, B2B SaaS or regulatory fintech · European network, ideally Spain/CEE.

Spun is not building invoicing software for construction. Spun is building the AI-native back office for millions of European professionals who have never had one.
