About HydraX

HydraX is an early-stage deep-tech venture developing a new approach to preservation for water-based skincare and personal care products. Originating from A*STAR research in Singapore, our plant-derived, food-grade platform aims to help brands formulate products with fewer conventional synthetic preservatives while maintaining product safety and performance.

Rather than relying on conventional biocidal preservation, the technology works by reducing the availability of water that microorganisms need to grow. The platform is being developed for integration into existing formulations and manufacturing processes.

The opportunity

• Cosmetics manufacturers and ODMs: Evaluate the technology in creams, lotions and other water-based formulations.

• Ingredient distributors and suppliers: Explore technical partnerships and routes to market.

Initial focus and expansion

Our initial focus is water-based skincare and personal care, with Singapore as our commercialisation hub and Southeast Asia as our initial target region. We are also interested in building partnerships in China, South Korea, Japan and other international markets.
