About
From Industrial CO₂ Emissions to Valuable Nutritional Ingredients
Solmeyea Biotech is seeking strategic partnerships with large industrial CO₂ emitters, including cement manufacturers, oil refineries, petrochemical facilities, power plants, steel producers and other carbon-intensive industries.
Through our proprietary and patented CO₂-utilisation biotechnology, we convert captured industrial carbon dioxide into high-value, non-GMO microalgae-derived nutritional ingredients, creating a new industrial pathway that connects emissions management with sustainable food manufacturing.
Our Partnership Proposition
We aim to establish long-term CO₂ offtake and utilisation agreements with industrial partners seeking to diversify their carbon-management strategies, develop circular-economy business models and create additional value from captured emissions.
Our technology offers opportunities to:
-
Utilise captured CO₂: Redirect suitable industrial CO₂ streams into productive biological manufacturing processes.
-
Complement CCS strategies: Develop a carbon-utilisation pathway alongside existing or planned carbon capture and storage infrastructure.
-
Create valuable products: Transform industrial emissions into MEY™, our proprietary nutritional ingredient for food, beverage and advanced nutrition applications.
-
Support industrial symbiosis: Explore co-location opportunities and integration of CO₂, energy, utilities and other industrial infrastructure.
-
Establish long-term partnerships: Structure multi-year CO₂ supply agreements supporting the deployment and expansion of commercial-scale facilities.
Technology and Industrial Readiness
Based at the National Centre for Scientific Research (NCSR) Demokritos in Athens, Greece, Solmeyea operates a 1,200 m² biotechnology demonstration and R&D facility.
Our proprietary technology integrates gas fermentation with non-GMO white microalgae cultivation, establishing a pathway from captured CO₂ to commercially relevant food ingredients.
We are now progressing towards our first industrial-scale manufacturing facility, supported by our ongoing engagement with the European Investment Bank and prospective industrial and financial partners.
Who We Want to Meet at SWITCH 2026

Geographical Focus
Singapore, Southeast Asia, Europe and other industrial regions where major emitters are seeking innovative, commercially viable carbon-utilisation pathways.
Our Objective
Identify suitable industrial partners and CO₂ streams, assess technical and commercial compatibility, and develop structured pathways towards feasibility studies, long-term offtake agreements and potentially co-located industrial facilities.
Solmeyea's vision is to transform industrial CO₂ from a costly liability into a valuable resource for the next generation of sustainable food production.
