Pedra Technology has built and successfully demonstrated our Xauron Perfusion System, a FDA-designated Breakthrough Device for the treatment of critical limb threatening ischemia ("CLTI"), the late stage of peripheral artery disease.

In CLTI, the primary treatment is balloon angioplasty to re-open leg vessels blocked by atherosclerotic plaque. This procedure is hampered by the limitations of X-ray angiography which relies on subjective interpretation of 2D contrast images obtained only intermittently and at limited angles during the procedure.

Our real-time perfusion monitor gives the physician second-by-second perfusion insights on top of angiography, so that he can make better decisions to achieve a true perfusion improvement in the patient's foot. Our most recent clinical study showed the potential to improve outcomes by up to 42%, simply by avoiding a premature stop (as defined by little or zero perfusion improvement) to a procedure.
