Driving German–Kosovar Digital Partnerships
- Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence & Nearshoring
As digitalization and artificial intelligence reshape how companies operate, German businesses are increasingly seeking reliable technology partners, specialized talent and flexible nearshoring solutions. At the same time, Kosovo’s ICT sector has grown significantly, with companies providing software development, IT services, BPO and other digital solutions to international clients.
Kosovo’s geographic proximity to Germany, young and increasingly skilled workforce, German-language capabilities and experience with European companies provide a strong basis for closer business relations. For Kosovar companies, this can also support a shift towards more specialized and higher-value services.
The panel session “Driving German–Kosovar Digital Partnerships: AI, Innovation and Nearshoring”, part of the Nearshoring & Digital Services Track of the 3rd German-Kosovar Economic Forum 2026, will bring together German and Kosovar technology and service companies to discuss current market needs and practical areas for collaboration.
The discussion will examine how AI and emerging technologies are changing demand for digital services and reshaping international business models, including AI-driven transformation, automation, joint technology development and product development. It will also explore Kosovo’s potential as a nearshoring destination, with particular emphasis on higher-value capabilities such as software and product development, managed IT services, cybersecurity, data engineering and cloud solutions, while recognising the continued importance of BPO.
A central focus will be what German companies expect from technology partners in terms of quality, cybersecurity, data protection, compliance, communication and scalability, as well as where Kosovo can further strengthen its capacities. Practical experiences from participating companies will help make the discussion concrete and identify relevant partnership models and areas for follow-up.
The session aims to give participants a clearer understanding of market demand, partner expectations and the evolving role of AI, digitalization and nearshoring, while facilitating concrete B2B connections and business leads between German and Kosovar companies.
