Our copper flow battery (CFB) is most suited towards adopters that have a need of cost-effective, fast-response and long-duration (4 to 12+ hours) energy storage. Being application agnostic the CFB is ideally used in industrial and grid-scale operations. Such customers often demand low-cost batteries with high cycling life due to the overproduction of intermittent electricity from wind and solar generation. The mismatch in electrical demand and supply creates cost-concerns for energy producers that face curtailment fees, and many grid service operators are now adopting battery systems to participate in grid flexibility markets.
