FlexSea- nature based solutions to plastic!

FlexSea have created a thermoplastic-like material using seaweed as a renewable feedstock. FlexSea’s solution is processable on standard plastic manufacturing machinery and is being applied to an array of applications, including the food, medical, clothing, cosmetic packaging sector. Our solution is 100% biobased and home compostable.  

Through our biotechnology vertical we aim to create a sustainable and fully circular seaweed economy in which all fractions of this valuable resource are utilised- making bioplastics more affordable and accessible. We are working with seaweed extraction companies to valorise their post extraction waste, with municipalities to valorise their beach cast seaweed, and directly with seaweed farmers.
