About me
Hello, my name is Joel Sliwa. I am a third-year mechanical engineering student at RWTH Aachen. Raised in Mönchengladbach, I completed my Abitur there before pursuing my passion for engineering.
Currently, I work as a student employee at SMS Group in Düsseldorf, specializing in secondary metallurgy within engineering steel mills. This role provides me with valuable industry experience.
Outside of my academic and professional life, I am a private pilot, enjoying both sailplanes and motorized aircraft. I also stay active through various sports.
My future aspirations include becoming both a pilot and an engineer, combining my love for aviation and engineering. Inspired by the motto, "Reach for the stars so if you fall, you land on the clouds," I strive for excellence in all my endeavors.
Through my involvement with EUROAVIA Aachen, I participate in practical events and connect with others in the aerospace industry. This network has been instrumental in my growth, offering opportunities for further education and professional development.
I am dedicated to continuous learning and making a meaningful impact in the aerospace field.
