About me

I started with a big background in marketing and sales helping other companies to find their best way to reach their desired customers with my own advertising agency. I worked mostly with SMEs and that gave me the sense of making the maximum with a limited budget, the need of being highly creative and the ability to see greatness in some small companies. I liked the startup ecosystem and I studied on tech startups and their growth rates, ways to interact with their markets, needs, etc...

At some point I bought a drone and got immediately hooked on it. I saw the problems to fly them and I wanted to dig deeper on the knowledge and help to develop a community. So I created some social media channels to interact with a growing community. I interviewed several companies and published the articles to the community.

My job didn't go unnoticed and I had an offer to join a new-born trade fair based on robotics where they needed some expert in drone technology. I jumped the ship and took full advantage of talking to all the drone companies both nationally and internationally. I kept learning and organized several high profile conferences to introduce things like the UTM concept to the spanish audience for the first time.

At some point I wanted to be closer to the drones so I worked in the most promising drone startups in Spain at that time. Both of them had special concepts aimed to solve a fundamental problem with drones: Payload capacity and Flight time. Being sided by engineers I understood much better the technical difficulties of flying a bigger drones and saw first hand the need for the drone industry to be on par with aviation in terms of requirements and safety.

I finally created my own UAS consultancy firm to help guiding private and public entities towards drone adoption. I had moderate success and represented seven drone manufacturers in Spain and LATAM markets within sectors like Security & Surveillance, Sea rescue, Counter UAS and more.

Finally I was introduced to FlyingBasket, my current company. An startup with an aeronautical approach to cargo drone logistics that has convinced the authorities to perform missions in urban areas with a drone able to lift 100kg. With a unique approach of drone manufacturer and excellent drone operator, FlyingBasket is aiming to revolutionize the way we do aerial transport. A worthy challenge to develop and to apply all the expertise accumulated during all these years.

What a ride has been and a what a future awaits...
