Viborg Municipality aims to establish and develop a national industrial park in close connection with AU Viborg (Foulum) to strengthen sustainable industrial growth, innovation, and regional competitiveness. The industrial park is intended to integrate research, education, green energy infrastructure, and production-oriented companies within a single, coherent development area.

The municipality seeks to prioritise companies with direct or indirect links to research and development at AU Viborg, fostering strong synergies between academia and industry. The initiative supports the green transition, with a particular focus on green technologies, bioeconomy, and sustainable production, and emphasises access to local, green energy as a prerequisite for industrial development.

Viborg Municipality is committed to providing efficient, coordinated public administration and to developing the Foulum area as a nationally and internationally attractive hub for research-based industrial production in collaboration with Aarhus University and regional partners.
