ElFys

ElFys Oy is a Finnish photodetector company based in Espoo. We develop and manufacture ultra-sensitive photodiodes based on patented black silicon induced-junction technology. Our detectors provide high responsivity across UV, visible and near-infrared wavelengths, low dark current, and excellent angular response, enabling improved signal-to-noise ratio in demanding optical sensing applications.

For defence and security markets, ElFys offers photodetectors and custom detector solutions for EO/IR sensing, laser tracking and alignment, 1064 nm YAG laser applications, surveillance and reconnaissance, optical communication, space systems and advanced imaging. Our product range includes single-element photodiodes, SMD and TO-can packaged detectors, and 4-quadrant detectors designed to provide accurate positional information from incident light.

In addition to standard products, ElFys supports customers through evaluation samples, customized detector design, prototyping, testing, volume delivery, semiconductor processing, and technology integration or licensing. We are interested in meeting system developers, OEMs, integrators, research organizations and defence companies looking to improve detector performance or explore new photonic sensing capabilities.
