Rukhsar Hamid is a highly accomplished Norwegian professional with diverse expertise in renewable energy and cross-cultural collaboration. As the partner and CEO of NorHydro Asia, he leads a Norwegian company specializing in the design, construction, and operation of small-scale hydropower plants, incorporating both conventional hydropower and a patented low-head hydropower technology, which was funded by the European Commission.
Rukhsar was also part of NorHydro team that collaborated with Energy Institute Croatia, on a project assessing the potential for hydropower development in Croatia and implementing best practices from Norwegian hydropower technology. He is also involved in biomass research focused on processing low-temperature biomass, working alongside different partners and NIBIO, one of Norway's largest research institutes. This project, also funded by Innovation Norway, aims to enhance sustainable bioenergy solutions.
With an academic background in International Studies, Rukhsar possesses a deep understanding of complex business dynamics, enabling him to drive strategic growth and international partnerships. He continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable development and energy transition.
