Born and bred in Akureyri, the "Capital of the North," Dögg Matthíasdóttir’s roots in Iceland run as deep as the fjords surrounding her hometown. With a B.Sc. in Business and Tourism from the University of Akureyri and decades of experience in the field, Dögg has cultivated a career that is as versatile as the Icelandic landscape itself.

As a certified Wilderness First Responder and Ranger, she blends safety and expertise with a genuine passion for storytelling. Whether she is navigating the Highlands as a driver guide or introducing guests to the nuances of Icelandic cuisine, Dögg prides herself on being a bridge between local culture and the curious traveler.

When she isn’t leading expeditions, Dögg channels her creativity into content creation and website development for a diverse range of clients. She remains deeply connected to her heritage; every September, she returns to her family farm in North Iceland to participate in the traditional sheep roundup. In her downtime, you’ll find her camping with family and friends or fueling her adventurous spirit in the world of motorsports.
