NavAware is a technology-driven SME based in Ankara, Turkey, founded by Dr. Tolga Sönmez, an expert in sensor fusion and navigation systems with over 20 years of R&D and project coordination experience. The company was established to deliver high-value solutions combining classical engineering with advanced AI.

• Sensor Fusion: Advanced algorithms for fusing GNSS, INS, radar, and other sensor types in navigation and tracking systems.

• System Engineering: From concept design to implementation and V&V, we bring structured methodology to complex systems.

• Project Coordination: Successfully coordinated 6 Horizon Europe CL3 proposals, all evaluated above threshold. Most notably, TeamAware ranked 1st out of 95 proposals in the 2021 call.

• TeamAware (Horizon Europe): Coordinated by Tolga Sönmez; focused on situational awareness for first responders.

• TruthAware (FCT): A current initiative using AI and LLMs to detect misinformation, drug trafficking, and financial fraud in social media.

• LEO-PNT: Positioning using Low Earth Orbit satellites

• Railway Monitoring (USA & Netherlands): Sensor fusion system for real-time rail condition assessment.
