Demo non-cellular, decentralized 5G at FEINDEF 2025
About
The demo shows how a non-cellular 5G network is formed using a tree-like structure. This structure can have up to two levels of branching. The network includes a single main device (called the "gateway") and several other devices distributed across two different levels.
Since all devices are within each other’s range, some are intentionally prevented from connecting directly to the gateway. This creates "second-level" connections, where certain devices connect to others that are already connected to the gateway. As a result, the network forms with more than one hop between the beginning and end of each branch.
The setup process is simple: just power on the devices, and they will automatically connect to each other, following the logic described. Second-level devices won’t connect directly to the gateway, but they can connect to devices that are. The entire structure is displayed on a screen.
