About

Non-cellular decentralized 5G Communication Platform for Military Applications and Tactical Networks

The Communication Platform is a compact, low-power electronic module designed to serve as a bridge in modern military operations. It supports standard data protocols such as UART, I2C, and SPI, enabling secure, real-time communication between tactical devices and command systems. Additionally, it incorporates advanced wireless technologies like DECT NR+ and 5G, delivering fast and reliable connectivity in complex operational environments and under adverse conditions.

For DECT NR+, we have developed a custom MAC (Medium Access Control) layer over the 5G physical layer, optimizing communication efficiency and performance. This architecture enables the deployment of tree and mesh topologies, enhancing network resilience and ensuring low-latency, reliable connectivity—critical in military contexts where rapid and dependable data transmission is essential.

The platform is fully adaptable to diverse tactical network architectures, including emerging concepts such as future combat clouds. Within such environments, it enables continuous data exchange among smart sensors, wearable devices, and field-deployed systems. Thanks to integrated GNSS, it provides precise geolocation and real-time tracking, enhancing situational awareness of troops, vehicles, and strategic assets—even in remote or GPS-challenged areas.

The built-in eSIM module ensures secure and flexible connectivity, with automatic network selection based on deployment location. Its rugged design allows operation in harsh industrial and combat environments, guaranteeing uninterrupted communication under demanding conditions.

With its robust construction and ability to integrate into advanced tactical networks, the platform supports secure transmission of critical data for applications such as real-time intelligence sharing, command and control (C2), and coordination with autonomous systems and drones. Its capacity for low-latency, high-bandwidth communication is vital for rapid tactical decision-making, where speed and precision are mission-critical.
