Physiotherapy

The physiotherapy groups at the University of Alcalá work to improve health and quality of life through a comprehensive approach. They specialise in women's physiotherapy, pain management and neuromusculoskeletal disorders, combining traditional techniques with innovative technologies.

• Physiotherapy in Women's Health: Researches and promotes physiotherapy for women’s physical and emotional wellbeing, emphasising gender equity and ethical care.

• Physiotherapy in Pain Management_:_Applies manual physiotherapy and emerging technologies such as augmented reality and tele-physiotherapy for pain treatment.

• Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy: Addresses disorders with a biopsychosocial approach adapted to each life stage, promoting quality of life.

• Humanisation in Physiotherapy Intervention: Promotes a humanised and holistic approach to improve physical, cognitive, and emotional health and functionality.
