WS10: Advancing Marine Restoration: From Demos to Impact

Coastal and marine restoration demonstrators under the EU Restoration Law and EU Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters are moving from pilots to wider uptake. Drawing on RESPOSCY, CLIMAREST and A-AAGORA project outputs we examine  how validated solutions transfer via Associated Regions and cascading grants to seize opportunities offered by the EU policy framework. The aim of the workshop is to work on the lessons learned from these projects and form discussions on the gaps and opportunities in this sector. We analyse governance, regulatory conditions, permitting, financing and monitoring across sea basins and conclude with a shared pathway for replication aligned with the European Ocean Pact
