Marine Institute - EU Projects (AQUARIUS)

AQUARIUS is a Horizon Europe funded project coordinated by the Marine Institute, Ireland, and comprising of 45 European partners. AQUARIUS is providing transnational access to a comprehensive and diverse suite of research infrastructures to address challenges and explore opportunities for the long-term sustainability of our marine and freshwater ecosystems. Research Infrastructures include research vessels, marine mobile equipment(AUVs, ROVs), aircraft, drones, fixed marine facilities, experimental research facilities and river and basin supersites. AQUARIUS is supporting research and innovation activities that contribute to the objectives, regional scope and implementation of the EU Mission ‘Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030.’ Call 1 has now closed and the second call for proposals will open on September 2nd 2025.
