The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, founded in 1911, is the Professional Membership Body that sets the highest standards of professional service to the shipping industry through the provision of an internationally recognised education programme.

The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers is the only internationally recognised professional body representing shipbrokers, ship managers and agents throughout the world.

Established in 1974, the branch celebrated its 50th anniversary last year. Since its foundation the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers Ireland has been a major provider of education and training. The Branch facilitates lecturers, examination centres and exams for the ICS membership syllabus, as well as organising topical seminars, providing the shipping industry with highly qualified professionals.
