About me

Lise Detrimont is the General Representative of the Wind Ship Association in France and a member of the Executive Committee of the International Windship Association (IWSA). An agronomist engineer by training, she has over 20 years of experience in project management, specializing in maritime law and engineering. Passionate about sustainable maritime transport, she initiated the Wind Ship movement in France, helping to bring together French wind propulsion companies to accelerate the ecological transition of the shipping industry.

Based in Nantes, Lise plays a central role in promoting wind-assisted propulsion and building bridges between industry stakeholders, public authorities, research institutions, NGOs, and professional bodies. Her work includes writing technical and regulatory reports, policy briefs, and contributions, as well as organizing and participating in maritime events. She also ensures alignment and coordination with the IWSA’s international initiatives. Her leadership continues to drive forward innovation and collaboration in the development of wind-powered shipping solutions.
