About me
Fantina Madricardo, laurea (equivalent of MSc) in Physics, University of Padova (Italy), PhD in Physics, University of Hamburg (Germany), Post-Doc at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris (France). She is currently a senior researcher at the CNR-ISMAR in Venice (Italy). Her main research topics are applied geophysics and underwater acoustics, seafloor mapping and geomorphology, and the assessment of the distribution of contaminants of emerging concern. She was the coordinator of the EASME/EMFF marGnet and of the H2020 MAELSTROM projects focussing on reducing marine litter pollution and she is in the core CNR team of the EU Mission HEU CSA BlueMissionMed and HEU INSPIRE directly contributing to the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters”. She is corrently coordinating the IT-HR Interreg UNDERSEA following up the IT-HR Interreg SOUNDSCAPE and is the CNR-ISMAR responsible of the H2020 SATURN focussing on the undewater noise pollution. She was involved in the projects H2020 ENDURUNS, H2020 4S and in the IT-HR Interreg INNOVAMARE developing robotic and satellite solutions for the marine environment observation and the H2020 RELIANCE to support FAIR reaserch in EOSC. Author and co-author of several peer-reviewed international journals and book chapters, editor of two books, she is currently editor for Scientific Reports and Scientific Data and has been guest editor for three special issues and referee for many international journals.
